Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

Your 5 Days Desert Tour of Marrakech to Fes starts early in the morning collecting you off your hotel. We will move through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains which we will cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass that is at an altitude of more than 2,260 meters. The route is breathtaking with panoramic views of the valleys along with the adorable berber villages. This oasis is also known to host exclusive collection of Kasbahs including a well preserved Amridil Kaabah which you will get to explore. It is a brilliant place to get a view of what conventional Moroccan life and architecture is like.

We are still on the move driving through the picturesque Rose Valley, where rose oil is extracted and their festival is held in May. You will then enter the Dades Valley which is famous in its scenic red rock formations and a stream of winds. Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Sahara – Overnight in a Luxury Camp

In addition, you are going to tour through the village of Khamlia, a tiny hamlet renowned on account of its Gnaoua music where you will hear a real performance.

You will subsequently embark on a tour to the Merzouga Lake which is an ephemeral lake where migratory birds such as flamingo may be seen. The panoramic views of the Erg Chebbi dunes will be memorable by this point of view. You can also take a glimpse of the local eyeliner mines. Once you have completed a day of exploration you will retire to your lodgings to have a good night and prepare yourself to make the most of your last day.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes: The Conclusion of Your 5 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Fes

Your last day starts with an early morning psychedelic camel ride to explore the desert sun rise. We will have breakfast and leave the tranquil desert behind, and set off towards Fes. On the way we will stop in the city of Erfoud, which is famous in its fossil-based craftwork. You can even drop in at a fossil works and watch how they are made.

The adventure proceeds with the magnificent Ziz Valley overlooking rich palm groves then to lunch in Midelt. Then we move on to the Middle Atlas Mountain in which we can observe the wild Barbary Macaques in the Cedar Forest. We then end our tour in the alpine town of Ifrane (called the Switzerland of Morocco), and arrive in Fes in the late afternoon.
